A magic castle we have just visited (it was just closing for the day!)
The above picture is taken by Lucie during our fleeting visit on the way home from just one of our trips to the north coast of Brittany. Clicking your mouse on the two underlined texts above reveals many more pictures and information. Some of the translations, unfortunately, are computerised rubbish - but the w/pedia information leads on to most informative pages.
There is SO much to see in Brittany, we can hardly believe our eyes!
But......It has been
A Black week for us all.
Current news about the massacre in Paris (Not forgetting the horrors in Mali today - 20th November) has put us both in a profound mood. It is difficult not to hide our feelings of antipathy towards the islamic community as a whole rather than the brutes that perpetrated this ghastly and indescriminate crime. Blind faith is clearly to blame in my view. We have been watching the whole event as it unfolds, on digital BBC 24 hour news and Sky Digital - almost as if it was just another western film, complete with baddies and heroes.
For what it is worth, I believe that the leaders of the Islamic Religion, in France, (just as the ubiquitous Bank Directors should be for their crimes!) should be brought to book and held responsible for their part in this horrendous crime; who else will have twisted the young minds of this horrible minority of people? We do indeed have fears for the reaction of the greater French population, which, with elections impending, is yet to come.
