I am determined to discover how to add "podcasts" to my blog postings - it could be the best way to go. My readers (more than 7 hits per day now!) will be able to link to a BBC program (or any other podcaster) related to the subjects raised in each posting. This idea may well enhance interest and involvement.
I've opened a "help Ticket" with the "typepad" host that I use for my blog. They have been really excellent in their response with previous cries for help. I suspect that I am not alone in being afraid of "computer jargon" which emanates from loads of those "Turkeys" over there. (By turkey, I am referring to their language of "gobbledegook".) They don't realise that some of us really don't understand the lingo that they use all day in their lives. Computer acronyms are especially painful. (Click on the highlighted words for the best site)
If anyone out there knows how, please get in touch; it all helps you know!....and no, I haven't got an Iphone.
Incidentally, did you know that the "Marmite Loveline" is 0800 0323 656 (Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm) They need help with their image in France which is appalling.
That awfully sweet Nutella chocolate spread (that most French children have long grown up with at Breakfast) looks very like Marmite (a smidgin lighter brown in colour) and since French people taste firstly with their eyes, their expectation is for something sweet, when trying Marmite; well, the shock is just too much for them. Hence they think it is "degoutant"! They hate it!
You must help!
But as you have gathered by now; it ain't all plain sailing y'know - is it?
Here is my first Podcast from the BBC's broadcast on the world's migration of people this year. It certainly hasn't been plain sailing for them, that's for sure.
Below, our friend Olivier conducts the annual singing battle at the final event of the 8th Hede-Bazouges Jazz Festival in September. The band rises in the lock to accompany them; the loudest side, singing their traditional songs, wins the trophy. There were approximately 3,500 people attending, on each of the two days of events.
