As I write this blog posting (29/05/2017), we are moored at the small town of Tinteniac three kilometers downstream of our winter's mooring at Hede - Bazouges. Lucie's 70th birthday celebrations are already ongoing, having just returned from a marvellous five day break in and around Roscoff, all of which we found enchanting, especially in the sunshine and we had our fair share of that when it mattered most. Our group of special friends, which we somehow to have acquired during the two years we have been in Brittany, joined us in our delightful Airbnb Gite chosen by Lucie.
Friend Steve brought his guitar to entertain us on a splended musical soiree. I brought my piano. Even Lucie, albeit reluctantly, sang her funny song and all eight of us drank quite a lot of wine whilst singing very badly. I presented Lucie with my present of a Yukalalee. She is trying to learn how to play it, using this site.
Do we have the beginnings of a group band here?
Other activities including, restaurants, beaches, islands, pubs. Long walks were crammed in to the five day treat - all not to be forgotten. A long walk around the tidal island at Dossen.... Another special evening to remember, hosted by Steve and Christine, in their fabulous caravan on top of the cliffs overlooking the beach at Roguennic. Some of the sites like Rogennic near to our Gite.
Isle de Batz - The exotic gardens
Our thanks to all 6 of our friends, Rose and Hubert, Alison and Gerard, Steve and Christine for all their generous contributions and lovely company. Lucie and I will certainly return for a closer look at Roscoff, soon.
