Considering all that was going on with this disruption to their otherwise peaceful life, moored at Tinteniac, it was no surprise to get into trouble with either Coco or Minky (or both our cats) who were suddenly given to explore several different and exciting new territories. We had to 'box clever' when faced with the timing of our departure to coincide with their presence. 'Time and tide' (and weather!) truly waits for no man - (or in our case) - Cats.
Coco, the elder and a 'farm cat stray' from our time on the Garonne was quite happy to remain on board for the most part but little Minky (the local stray from Hede) found it all too exciting and tempting - and she disappeared into the unknown for several days at a time, both whilst at Taden and more alarmingly when we were parked high up on blocks after being lifted out in the Bassin Jaques Cartier. So far, she has returned unharmed after each adventure - seemingly pleased to see us.
We feared that she might have been frightened by the monstrous size and noise of our lift out....but no.. she is stimulated as never before, .... we believe.
