Wishing all relatives and friends - good cheer for Christmas and for 2021.
Have a good one!
We're in our 16th year living on board "Body & Soul" (for Google map link click Here) and we are spending the winter months at Evran.

As you see from the photo below, Lucie is looking good - taking her tablets and injections bravely - keeping PMR and GCA at bay - Her greatest friend Anita, quite by coincidence and good fortune, has moved into a delightful rented cottage within spitting distance from our mooring - A happy state of affairs for us all - not 30m away!
But it ain't all plain sailing, as you can imagine !
Thankfully, I am fit and well but all my brewery equipment has had to be moved back on board Body & Soul. I will miss the Old Mill at Hede - now too far away - and the company of Mick and Shelly too who kindly allowed me to make use of their premises.
We've got a 60 litre brew of English ale already bubbling away on the poop deck - wrapped in an electric blanket - to be bottled in time for the 2021 celebrations - an added temptation to my annual "dry January" resolution perhaps? - but on the other hand, the brew will improve a lot in the bottle and I look forward to a less dreary February after a full 4 week period of maturation.
Clive'n Aileen have generously sent me some more supplies (another beer kit from the UK, for making 23 litres of "Spitfire' ale) to keep us quenched in the hard times ahead.

Being old and retired has its advantages. At last one has the time to tease out the data which swamps the media regarding covid 19, Brexit, Trade talks, parliament etc - both political and scientific - to support our opinions.
Additionally we are more restricted in our normal activities - being confined to little else outside our boat. Our excellent WiFi connection is ever more important to our daily lives and we are grateful for the Evran authorities for this provision, 'free' of charge. We are pleased to respond to these benefits by spending our weekly pensions back into the local economy through the local shops, the pub, the log man and a reasonable mooring charge which includes the provision of unlimited electricity and water. We are close to Dinan for any cultural needs.
